I understand that going to a counselor is a brave step and that reaching out to someone is a success in itself. By creating a safe and empathetic environment in which to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors; I use a holistic and strengths-based approach towards creating a more positive experience. I view therapy as both an art and a science; whereas the art involves connecting with the client in a meaningful way and providing an affirming and nurturing voice, while the science is the use of evidence based methods towards healing and advancement towards personal goals I am able to work well with individuals who are interested in engaging in a more lengthy insight oriented therapy, as well as those who would benefit from a solutions focused approach to cope with or resolve issues in a more expedient manner.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over twenty years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families.
