Areas of Specialty

Meaning of Life  I have always processed and framed my thinking about life in “existential/meaning of life/big picture ways”.  I am drawn to the teachings of Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Marianne Williamson and Clarissa Pinkola Estes.  I constantly look for deeper understanding and the treasures to be found in struggles and hardships.

Parenting  My first professional love was working with children: I have an early childhood minor and worked for 7 years in a therapeutic day school with children with complex emotional, processing and learning needs.   My biggest love in my life has been my family and learning what it means to parent and love those independent souls who have become young adults with journeys of their own.  I love to help parents understand their children’s needs while understanding their own needs.

Anxiety and Depression  My biggest teachers in life have been my own anxiety, worry, and dances with depression.  I have learned first-hand how to navigate the complexities of intense emotional inner workings, and to feel stronger and more whole.  I enjoy helping women and men reconnect to their vulnerability and the wisdom of their emotions.

LGBTQ  I consider myself a fierce ally to anyone who has the path of self-defining, accepting and loving themselves, and being/speaking their truth.  It is heroic to be true to yourself when there can be so much pressure to conform to societal norms.  I love supporting the path of the “underdog” or “outsider” (and of rebels, trouble-makers, and nerds).

Mind-Body-Spirit  As with all things, I am constantly and humbly a learner and “in-process-of-becoming”.   With our inner and outer world being so vast and limitless:  I am captivated with understanding the science, creativity, possibility, imagination of who we are and what we are a part of.  I think we are each on a path to discover the power within and a connection to something that is bigger.  I can bring tools of hypnosis, meditation, EFT/Tapping, Reiki, and other ways of healing as it aligns with your needs/understanding.

I welcome your call to ask questions, to tell me a little about what is going on, and to begin to see if I am a good fit for where you are right now and where you want to get to.  Call me at 773-719-1751.  Peace,  Lisa
