LCPC

It is an extremely courageous step to reach out for therapy. I truly appreciate you reaching out for guidance and it is something that I do not take for granted. I provide psychotherapy utilizing a relational, collaborative, client-centered approach. The fundamental basis of any relationship is centered on trust. I model this during our sessions by dedicating time to establish trust and strengthening rapport in order to create a comfortable, non-judgmental space for you to explore thoughts, feelings and address your reasons for coming to therapy.  I believe my role as a therapist is to act as a guide for my client(s) as they navigate through the stressors of life,

reprocess distressing experiences, and increase self-awareness.  I move at a pace that is comfortable for my client(s) gently nudging them along through my use of humor, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), and have been trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. In addition, I have completed the 40 hr. Domestic Violence Training. I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and have 7 years of clinical experience.

I pride myself on being culturally competent, as well as having experience working with the wide spectrum of ages, races, ethnicities, and issues. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety/stress, depression, parenting issues, and sexual acting out behaviors. I’ve worked with children as young as 5 and adults as old as 75, however most of my experience has been with teens 12-18 and adults.
