Ryan Alderman

LMFT

I believe every person possesses the ability and resources to create lasting, positive change. I prioritize understanding my clients’ unique experiences and collaborate with them to develop a vision for the future and identify the practical steps needed to reach it. I recognize the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance based on respect, collaboration, and a shared belief in each person's capacity for growth. By listening carefully to your experiences and hopes for the future, I can help you identify achievable goals and determine the best

steps to take in order for you to bring about the positive change you are seeking. I believe in your ability to grow and tap into your own resilience, and my role is to be a curious and supportive guide as we navigate this journey together.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has been providing therapy services to adults, children, and families since 2009. I have a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. I spent 13 years of my career in non-profit community mental health as a provider, clinical supervisor, and administrator. I utilize an integrated, systemic approach to therapy with a strong emphasis on solution-focused work. I work with both individuals as well as families, and when relevant I emphasize each client’s important relationships as part of treatment, whether or not they are present in the therapy room. I am experienced providing both brief and long-term mental health treatment.
